Henry Schein New Zealand Launches Sustainability Initiative Practice Green

Henry Schein New Zealand is delighted to announce the launch of Practice Green, a sustainability initiative aimed at empowering healthcare providers in New Zealand and around the world to adopt greener practices. Through this program, Henry Schein will offer environmentally friendly products, services, and support to help dental professionals deliver high-quality care while reducing their environmental impact, as well as making improvements to all parts of the supply chain to reduce the environmental impact.

He added, “We believe that businesses have a significant role in helping to drive positive environmental change in New Zealand. In addition to our activities within the company, Practice Green reflects our commitment to aiding our customers through their sustainability journey. We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference, while helping to create a more sustainable future for all.”

Henry Schein New Zealand is committed to co-creating a circular and carbon-neutral supply chain in collaboration with its supplier partners and customers. The products that will be available through Practice Green have been carefully selected based on information provided by the supplier partner on their eco-friendly qualities, such as being reusable, made from recycled materials, biodegradable, or from sustainable sources.

The Practice Green program will continue to expand over time, with new solutions added to its portfolio as the healthcare landscape evolves. As healthcare has a significant impact on the environment, Henry Schein believes that taking action now will help protect the planet and its natural resources, while building a healthier New Zealand and World for all.

Henry Schein New Zealand - Tree Planting Initiative with Kaipatiki Project
The Henry Schein NZ team recently partnered with Kaipātiki Project, participating in a local tree planting initiative, planting 80 trees within Eskdale Reserve on the North Shore in Auckland. We had a variety of trees, shrubs and ground cover plants which will enable growth in vulnerable areas, and to support the banks and streams to protect wildlife and fish that reside in these reserves. With the amount of rainfall Auckland has had in the area, the soil was nice and damp and will allow the trees to establish and thrive in preparation for a warm summer ahead.
